Rock Mapper 3.2

Rock Mapper now supports Grade Control on 3D LiDAR Mesh Scans.

• 3D Domains
  Use the Apple Pencil to paint geological domains onto a LiDAR mesh scan, selecting from three brush sizes. The app will automatically calculate area percentages for each domain. 3D domains can be exported as a textured mesh (OBJ+MTL+JPG) and/or as a CSV file.
  
• 3D Sample Sets
  Enhance your grade control with the ability to add Linear Sample Sets (e.g., Channel Samples) or Point Sample Sets (e.g., Grab Samples) directly to a LiDAR mesh scan, all in full 3D. This feature also includes options for adding QAQC data (Duplicates, Blanks, Standards) as well as Sample Attributes.
  
• 3D Mapping & 3D Sampling Report
  Users can manually frame the report image for the 3D LiDAR scan for both the Mapping Report and the Sampling Report in case the automatically captured image isn't to their likings.
  
• Increased LiDAR Mesh Scan Size Limit
  You can now capture LiDAR mesh scans that are up to 20% larger compared to version 3.1 in a single session.
  
• Other Improvements 
  - Author button has been removed. Now, the Mapping Author and Sampling Author are entered through the FaceID window by tapping on the title on the Mapping Page or Sampling Page.
  - New Rock Mapper Server locations for Africa & Latin America
  - New option to quickly fill domains (Only fill Unknown)
  - Wide Brush toggle has been replaced with an option to select from three different brush sizes for assigning sampling domains in 2D and 3D.
  - Improved handling of long text in PDF reports
  - Additional metatdata available in [FaceID]_metadata.csv file 
  - Stepper buttons added to 'Rotate to Align' georeferencing tool to allow for a more precise LiDAR scan rotation
  - Auto-hide georeferencing toolbar as soon as all georeferencing information has been entered
  - Visibility toggles (show/hide) have been replaced with visibility sliders for Mapping Annotation Layers and Sampling Domains
  - Face outline now also exported in DXF format 
  - Improved alert messages
  - Improved loading of sampling domains
  - SampleID field length has been extended by removing the trash icon. Individual samples can now be deleted with a swipe left gesture.
  - Besides calculating and showing the Total Area for sampling domains, now there is also a Filled Area value computed. By tapping on Total Area / Filled Area, user can choose if individual domain percentage values are calculated relative to the Total Area or relative to the Filled Area. 
  - Overall speed and memory improvements. Faster is better :)
  

Before updating to version 3.2, please follow these steps:

1. Upload any unsaved rock faces from your iPad to the Rock Mapper Cloud and then back up all your data (save the original ZIP files).
2. Make sure that you are running the latest version of iPadOS (18.1). Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check.
3. Make sure to perform step 1 and 2 on all your devices.
