Setting up Sampling / Grade Control Domains

Intro

Sampling Domains as well as Sample Attributes can be freely configured in the Settings. Tap the cog wheel icon in the lower right corner on the Rock Face Gallery Page to get to the Settings.

👉 Add New Sampling Domains

To add a new Sampling Domain, go to Settings > Sampling > Domains and press the + Add Domain button at the bottom of the list. Enter a name for the domain and then pick a colour.

ℹ️ Please note that the name cannot be changed at a later stage, but you can change the colour anytime. You'd need to delete the old and generate a new sampling domain instead.

👉 Add Sample Attributes

To add a Sample Attribute, go to Sampling > Sample Attributes, press the + Add Sample Attribute button and then enter a name for it.

ℹ️ Please note that the name cannot be changed at a later stage. You'll have to delete the field and generate a new one with the new name.

Sample Attributes allow to record information as type Text Field or Pick List for individual line sample intervals or point samples. For example, they can be used to store:
  • Ore Type
  • Pyrite %
  • Lithology
  • Comments

Sample Attribute information is added to the automatically generated Sampling Report PDF (shown below) and also stored in the sampling CSV files called [FaceID]_point_samples.csv / [FaceID]_point_samples_3D.csv and [FaceID]_line_samples.csv [FaceID]_line_samples_3D.csv.

👉 Delete Sampling Domain or Sample Attribute

To delete a Sampling Domain or Sample Attribute, swipe with your finger over it from right to left. You'll then see a delete button appear. Press it and the row/field will be deleted.

👉 Reorder Sampling Domains or Sample Attributes

To reorder Domains or Sample Attributes, long press the item that you would like to move and then drag it to the desired position.
