Sampling / Grade Control Settings

Tap theĀ cog wheel iconĀ in the lower TabBar on theĀ Rock Face Gallery PageĀ to get to theĀ Settings.Ā Then go toĀ Sampling > Grid and Line.Ā

šŸ‘‰ Default Sampling Grid Size

On the Sampling Page for the face photograph, the area within the manually drawn face outline is automatically divided into a set of squares with a size that is defined by the sampling grid size.

Recommended values

  • 0.05 m (= 5cm) for up to 3m wide blast faces
  • 0.1 m (= 10cm) for up to 6m wide blast faces (default value)
  • > 0.1 m for special cases

ā„¹ļøĀ The 'grid size' for sampling domains on the LiDAR scan is automatically set based on the mesh triangle size.Ā

šŸ‘‰Ā Sampling Interval Precision

When drawing a linear sample set on the Sampling page, the from/to length and interval length will be shown live and reported in the CSV file as well as the PDF report as chosen here.

Recommended values

  • 0.00 mĀ for up to 3m wide blast faces (2 decimal places reported, e.g., 0.01m)
  • 0.0 mĀ forĀ up to 6m wide blast faces (1 decimal place reported, e.g., 0.1m; default value)Ā
  • 0 mĀ for special cases (no decimal place shown, e.g., 1m)

šŸ‘‰Ā Positive Down Plunge

When drawing a linear sample set onto the face photograph, the app is automatically calculating the plunge angle for it and will, by default, report it in the geologist's convention where down plunge is positive. If you'd like to have down plunge reported as negative, then disable this option.
