How to open LiDAR Mesh Scans in Deswik?

    Intro

    Rock Mapper allows to generateĀ 3D photorealistic textured meshesĀ using the iPad Pro's built-in LiDAR sensor and dual camera array. These files are stored in OBJ (+ MTL, JPG) format and can be opened with most 3D modelling packages such as Deswik.Ā 


    Option 1: Drag-and-drop

    Drag-and-drop the OBJ file into the Deswik model space. Make sure that all three files (OBJ + MTL + JPG) are in the same folder so that the texture is mapped accordingly.Ā 

    Option 2: Import OBJ

    Go to File > Import and then choose the OBJ file. Make sure that all three files (OBJ + MTL + JPG) are in the same folderĀ so that the texture is mapped accordingly.Ā
