Rock Mapper 2.5

    Rock Mass Quality Assessment made easy with the new Q System Integration. Plus we have added a number of other improvements to Rock Mapper. Thanks to all our users for the feedback. 


    • Q-System Tool (after NGI 2015 Handbook / Barton et al. 1974; open via new Q button)
      Capture RQD, Jn, Jr, Ja, Jw, SRF and Rock Mapper will automatically calculate Q value, Block Size, Joint Friction, Active Stress. Moreover, Rock Mass Quality and Rock Support Classes are reported directly in the app. The latter can be freely configured for maximum flexibility. All raw data is exported in CSV file format and also available in the new Q System section in the Mapping Report PDF.
    • New Pick List User Interface
      Instead of dropdowns, pick list values are now shown in a scrollable list on a separate page. This solution vastly improves usability especially for pick lists with many values. 
    • Auto-expanding Text Fields
      Text fields can now handle long inputs in a smart way by automatically expanding based on the length of the input. It makes sure that you can always see the entirety of the text. 
    • Project Name Popover Window 
      New look and feel for consistency and improved usability. A plus/minus stepper for Face Number has been added and non-essential fields have been removed.
    • Structural Measurement Improvements 
      All Structural Measurements plus Attributes are now shown in a separate table in the Mapping Report PDF. Moreover, the Structural Measurement window as been redesigned and now allows to also assign measurements to Contact Annotation Layers.

    Before updating to version 2.5:

    1. Please make sure that you are running the latest version of iPadOS 16.2. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check.
    2. Upload any unsaved projects from your iPad to the Rock Mapper Cloud Account and then back up all your data (save the original ZIP files).
    3. Make sure to perform step 1 and 2 on all your iPads.
