Rock Mapper 2.4

Walls & Roof Mapping & Sampling are here... and a number of other new features and improvements. 

• Ultra-Wide Angle Camera Support
  iPad Pro users can now access the built-in ultra wide angle camera by tapping the 0.5x button in the live camera view. The ultra-wide angle camera is great for tight spaces and allows to capture walls and roofs in a single image.
• Walls & Roof Mapping 
  New live camera overlays help to capture photographs of walls and roofs/backs which can then be directly mapped onto. There is also an 'Use Grid' option for walls and backs in case there is no photograph available. Rock Mapper's smart georeferencing workflow makes sure that all walls and the roof are automatically registered in 3D space based on a single georeferenced point on the face photograph. A very quick, simple and practical workflow. 
• Updated Mapping & Sampling Report PDFs
  PDF reports now include mapping and sampling information for walls as well as roofs/backs. 
• Pick Lists (everyone loves Pick Lists)
  Now users can define pick lists for Authors, Levels, Regions, Sample Attributes and Report Fields. No more data validation checks required downstream as users are picking from pre-configured values. Pick list values can be quickly shared with other devices via the cloud using the configuration file. 
• Wide Brush for Sampling Domains
  The new wide brush option makes assigning domains to the sampling grid much quicker.
• GUI Improvements & Changes 
  1. We have increased the size of toolbar buttons so they can be tapped more easily. 
  2. The georeferencing toolbar can now be collapsed / hidden so that it doesn't block the lower section of the face photograph. 
  3. The More menu has been replaced by toolbar buttons, which means quicker access (single tap) to important features like Report Fields. 
  4. The annotation layer list / domain list has been cleaned up and simplified for a better look an feel. 
  5. New Face / Left Wall / Right Wall / Roof button in upper left corner on Mapping Page and Sampling Page
  6. Renamed 2D / 3D toggle to Picture / LiDAR
• Other Improvements
  Sampling grid boxes are now only included if their midpoint is located within the face outline. This change improves domain percentage and face area accuracies.

Before updating to version 2.4:

1. Please make sure that you are running the latest version of iPadOS 15.7. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check. Please note that Rock Mapper version 2.4 requires iPadOS 15 or later. 
2. Upload any unsaved projects from your iPad to the Rock Mapper Cloud Account and then back up all your data.
3. Make sure to perform step 1 and 2 on all your iPads
