When using the Apple Pencil and handwriting recognition feature (also known as Apple Scribble) it can be difficult to enter numbers with decimal points. But there is an easy way to avoid this issue by entering any decimal number in 3 steps and let each part get transformed to typed text individually.Ā
Therefore, first enter the numbers in front of the decimal point and wait until it's transformed to typed text. Then enter the decimal point itself by drawing a point to the right below the number. And last, enter everything behind the decimal point.
Please note that Rock Mapper is smart and will accept both a comma (,) or a point (.) as decimal separators when entering numbers.
Additionally, we recommend to disable theĀ Smart PunctuationĀ feature in iPadOS which can be found inĀ Settings > General > Keyboard.
