    Intro

    For every Rock Face captured with Rock Mapper,Ā a single ZIPĀ file is uploaded to the Rock Mapper Cloud account (subscription required).Ā

    A simple & clear file naming convention allows to identify individual rock faces based on a unique [FaceID]. TheĀ [FaceID]Ā incorporates theĀ Level,Ā Region,Ā Face NumberĀ as well as the theĀ Create DateĀ &Ā Create Time.


    [FaceID]Ā =Ā [Level]_[Region]_F[FaceNumber]_[YYYYMMDD]_[HHMMSS]

    ā„¹ļøĀ Please note that special characters, which are any non-alphabetic, non-numeric characters and spaces, get replaced with underscore in the [FaceID] / file name. For example Wilson's Prom will be converted to Wilson_s_Prom.

    ā„¹ļøĀ Empty CSV files are automatically excluded from the uploaded ZIP. For example, if the face is not fully georeferenced, then [FaceID]_mapping.csv, [FaceID].obj, [FaceID]_annotation.obj, [FaceID]_line_sample_collar.csv and [FaceID]_point_samples.csv are NOT included in the ZIP file because of the missing X/Y/Z coordinates.


    ā„¹ļøĀ All coordinates are recorded in meters (default) or feet if Imperial Units have been enabled in Settings > General.
