In May 2024, Apple has refreshed their iPad Pro lineup and released a new Apple Pencil Pro with it. The new iPad Pro is slightly thinner and narrower and now comes with a more powerful M4 chip that has a 9 or 10-core CPU,Ā 10-core GPUĀ andĀ 16-core Neural EngineĀ (for AI/ML purposes). This means that the overall performance of the device has increased.
Other changes compared to the previous M2 iPad Pro:
- Improved & brighter Ultra Retina XDR display (OLED)
- 10MP ultra wide camera has been removed
- Front facing camera changed from Portrait to Landscape position
- New iPad Pro only compatible with new Apple Pencil Pro (or Apple Pencil USB-C)
